The first China-Europe Scientists Forum was successfully held in Frankfurt, Germany during October 20-21, 2024. The forum attracted more than 200 scientists and researchers from the fields of artificial intelligence, biomedicine, construction design, low-carbon new energy, etc., and more than 50,000 viewers watched the event through the online live broadcast platform.
As the Artificial Intelligence and Interdisciplinary Sub-forum of the China-Europe Scientists Forum (CESF), the 6th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing (AIAM2024) has become a highlight of the forum with cutting-edge topics and professional scholars’ lineup. The topics of the conference are diverse, covering the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, human-machine interface design, Internet of Things, online evolutionary learning, low-light image enhancement, underwater robot systems, autonomous decision-making, road transportation systems, and unmanned interactive intelligence.
The opening ceremony of this conference was co-chaired by Prof. Linhua Jiang, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Innovation Alliance and Academician of the Bolivian National Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Huiyu Zhou, Professor of University of Leicester, UK, who introduced the achievements of previous conferences and the preparations for this conference, welcomed scholars from all over the world to share their research results, and thanked all the experts, scholars and supporting units for their support and help for the conference.
Prof. Fuchun Sun of Tsinghua University, China sent a video congratulations to the forum on behalf of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI). He expressed hope that participants will have in-depth discussions during the conference, join hands to promote scientific and technological innovation, contribute wisdom and strength to China-EU cooperation, and wished the China-Europe Scientists Forum (CESF) a complete success.
Prof. Dimitrios A. Karras from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, delivered a speech on Opportunities and Challenges of AI and Machine Learning in Improved Healthcare: Advancements and Scenarios.
Dr. Aron Tanos, Director of Hungarian Robot Builders Association, delivered a speech on The Human Factor: Designing Likeable Machine-Human Interfaces, A Case Study.
Prof. Xiaodong Liu from Edinburgh Napier University, UK, delivered a speech on Challenges in the Next Generation of IoT-based Smart Systems and a Case Study.
Prof. Liang Song from Fudan University, China; Canadian Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech on Online Evolutionary Learning for Networked General Artificial Intelligence.
Prof. Huiyu Zhou from University of Leicester, UK, delivered a speech on Low-light Image Enhancement Using Cell Vibration Model.
