The FCPAE 2019 & International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing (AIAM2019) has been held successfully between October 17 and 19, 2019 at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dublin, Ireland, with the theme of “Cooperation, Diversity and Innovation”. More than 200 experts, scholars, teachers, students and business representatives from Poland, Canada, Russia, Germany, Netherland, Singapore and other countries attended the conference. The international exchange atmosphere on the spot was very strong.
On the evening of the Oct. 17th, the FCPAE European Forum Organizing Committee, the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown District and the Shay Brennan District Government hosted a grand reception to warmly welcome government agencies, research institutes, investment advisors and participants in the business entity from China and European countries at the National Yacht Club, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland.
At 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18th, Cindy Liu, Chairman of the Association of Chinese Professionals in Ireland (ACPI) gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony and expressed warm welcome to the participating scholars. She said that "2019 is a special year, coincides with the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ireland. The purpose of FCPEA is people-oriented, innovation-oriented, and a bridge for China-Ireland cooperation." Subsequently, Ms Mary Mitchell O'Connor (Irish Minister of State for Higher Education), Mr. Xiangdong He (Chinese Ambassador to Ireland), Mr. Eoin O’Leary (Irish Ambassador to China), Mr. Zhuobin Li (Vice Chairperson of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese), and Ms. Xiaopei Yan (Vice Chairperson of the Central Committee of China Zhi Gong Party) delivered welcome remarks as keynote speakers of the forum separately.
In the afternoon of Oct. 18th, three parallel sessions—“education”, “Science & Technology Innovation” and “2019 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing (AIAM2019)” were held at the Royal Marine Hotel.
The AIAM2019 (2019 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing) was hosted by the Federation of Chinese Professional Associations in Europe (FCPAE), in association with Association of Chinese Professionals in Ireland (ACPI), the International Association of Applied Science and Technology (IAAST), and Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Linhua Jiang of the FCPAE Shanghai Representative Office was the compere. With the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing Technology”, the conference aims to bring together researchers and scientists from artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing, researchers from various application areas to discuss problems and solutions in the area, to identify new issues, and to shape future directions for research. The conference invited Prof. Jingsha He from Beijing University of Technology, Professor Daizhong Su from Nottingham Trent University, and Professor Song Liang from Fudan University to give keynote speeches. Nine researchers from Europe gave oral presentations. The conference selected outstanding papers and presented awards to authors of these papers.
On Oct. 19th, Professor Shengzong Zhou, Executive Chairman of FCPAE gave the closing speech which brought the FCPAE 2019 & International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing (AIAM2019) to a successful conclusion.
